As we build more giant puppets we can use our community's help in tracking down many used and recyclable materials to get creative with!
Email Moni if you would like to donate the following and are able to drop materials off in North Portland:
BUBBLE WRAP: Small bubbles (1/4'-1/2" diameter) in big sheets.
CLAY: Water-based/ceramic sculpting clay.
CORRIGATED CARDBOARD: Big sheets, appliance boxes, and medium-to-large Amazon boxes are our favorites.
CORRUGATED PLASTIC YARD SIGNS: When political season is over we want to sculpt your signs into puppet heads.
FABRIC: Rip-stop nylon fabric, plus other lightweight, quick-dry, fabrics in large segments. Lycra and spandex. Both colorful and neutral colors, but not patterned.
FLUORESCENT THINGS: Materials that will glow under black-light, including neon paint, and neon clothing (like t-shirts) that can be cut up and made into costumes or puppet bodies.
PACKING FOAM, FLEXIBLE: Big chunks of ethafoam/polyethylene packing material (same stuff pool noodles are made of).
PAINT BRUSHES: Any size.
RIBBONS: Fabric ribbons in any colors and widths.
