Be sure to stop by the window display of illuminated black-light puppets by Wildland Roots Artistic Director Moni Sears and the Wildland Roots volunteers, or catch them roaming the streets of downtown Portland!
Wildland Roots will also be participating in the annual Portland Winter Light Festival Lantern Procession.
For the 2026 festival, the Monsters will emerge from Troll Alley--their mysterious, shadowy home realm--to meet the denizens of Portland downtown!
Here there will be monsters a-glow, both large and small, each individually crafted from cardboard, paper mache, fluorescent fabric, neon paint, and various waste-stream materials.
No need to fear the multitudinous horns, teeth, tusks, and staring eyes! These monsters are friendly and just want to hang out with you, before returning home to their spooky lair.
