Since 2021, Wildland Roots has been creating artistic happenings in the Pacific Northwest. In 2024 we opened a workshop at Green Anchors in North Portland where we teach mask-making and parade lantern making classes, and build giant paper mache puppets with volunteers for annual events such as the Portland All Souls River Procession.
All of our income from teaching and donations goes towards our expenses including rent, insurance, and studio supplies, but we are currently earning less than our average monthly expenses of $400.
By becoming a Wildland Roots member you can help us cover our operating costs, AND get access to our online tutorial library, AND keep up with our current projects!
Similar to a Patreon membership, our Ko-Fi account will feature semi-regular blog posts for members with step-by-step documentation on mask-making, puppet-building, and DIY art materials like natural pigments. We'll also share updates on studio projects we are working on that are viewable to all.
Membership is great way for our local community to support us, as well being a way for folks anywhere to get a behind-to-scenes view of what we do and how we do it.
Wildland Roots is not just an art collective--it's a community of folks building something inspiring and vital in our challenging times. And a monthly donation of $5, $10 or $25 will make a huge difference in helping us achieve this vision.
Thank you!
